Amendments
Short title

This Act may be cited as the Freedom of Information (Amendment) Act, 2000.
Interpretation
-
In this Act, "the Act' means the Freedom of Information Act, 1999.
Section 4 amended
-
Section 4 of the act is amended, in the definition of "Minister", by
deleting the word "information" and substituting the words
"public administration".
Section 7 amended
-
Section 7 of the Act is amended -
-
in subsection (1), by deleting the words "the Minister" and
substituting the words "the responsible Minister"; and
-
in subsection (4), by deleting the words "the Minister" and
substituting the words "the responsible Minister".
Section 8 amended
-
Section 8 of the Act is amended -
-
in subsection (2)(a)(ii), by deleting the words "the Minister" and
substituting the words "the responsible Minister"; and
-
in subsection (2)(b) -
-
by deleting the words "the Minister" and substituting the words
"the responsible Minister"; and
-
by deleting the word "Trinidad" occurring in line five.
Section 9 amended
-
Section 9 of the Act is amended by deleting from subsection (2) the words
"the Minister" and substituting the words "the responsible
Minister"
Section 33 amended
-
Section 33 of the Act is amended in subsection (2), by deleting the words
"Subsections (2)(c) and (d)" and substituting the words
"Subsections (1)(c) and (d)".
Section 35 amended
-
Section 35(a) of the Act is amended by inclusion of th4 word "or"
after the word";".

Section 35(b) of the Act is amended by inclusion of te word "or"
after the word ";".

Section 35 of the Act is amended by deleting the words "and if" after
the word "occurred" and substituting the word "or".
Section 38a amended
-
Section 38a of the Act is amended in subsection (1) by deleting the word
"fit". and substituting the words "fit within 30 days or as soon
as practicable thereof.".
